About Us

JJP Mechanical Reps, LLC was formed in April 2011.  It’s founder & owner, Rodney P. Franz, came to Nashville in 1966 with his family, where they settled in Brentwood. He’s still there, about 5 miles from that original home. This nearly-native, very loyal Tennessean graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1982 with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. Arnold Engineering provided his first engineering position; a highlight was testing in the wind tunnel at AAFB. He was hired a year and a half later by Underwood Air Systems Nashville branch as a salesman, then became branch manager, helping it grow strong and profitable. In 2011, the opportunity came to purchase the Nashville business from UAS, and JJP Mechanical Reps LLC came to be. Several staff members joined him at JJP, eventually increasing to a motivated, well-trained, often humorous team of 13.  The firm has a seasoned sales team with an average sales and technical experience of over 25 years.

When Rodney isn’t serving his customers, he enjoys CrossFit and running with his friends, tennis and Frisbee with his son Jacob, and doing life with his wife of 30 years, Dede. His highest loyalty is to God, which shows in his generosity, honesty and committed service.
